Yellowstone

So we went to Yellowstone for about 10 days back in August. We went with my parents - they have a trailer and very comfy new truck. We had been talking about going there - but couldn't till we got the new truck, and it was worth the wait. We did a ton of driving and saw almost all of the park. Here are a few pics! Ok, alot of pics! It was amazing to see such beautiful, diverse landscapes and wild life.
Our luxury vehicle - so roomy & comfy!
The Tetons - on the way to Yellowstone!

Steve-o with Castle Geyser in the background (near Old Faithful)

My cute Mom & Dad

Natural Bridge - we rode our bikes here.
Then we hiked up an amazing amount of switchbacks.
My mom & dad on top (a no, no I guess).

Mom BBQing while the boys fished @ Otter Creek.
The Lower Falls of the Yellowstone
We saw about 1000 of these in Hayden Valley
A SWEET Ride we spotted at Roosevelt Lodge
Steve at Minerva Terrace - one of his favorite sites
These elk ate lunch with us at Mammoth Hot Springs
My Dad fishing near the Bear!

The Bear that everyone thought would eat my Dad! This was the last day of Yellowstone. He & Steve were fishing by the river, the bear went so close to my dad! Steve didn't even see it! It also came very close to our truck and attracted about 75 people who pulled over and walked along the road behind it. The ranger lady about came uncorked with the stress of keeping us all "safe" from a bear that didn't even notice us!
This is at Island Park - we spent our last night there.
The moose in our camp - with only one antler.
Steve - so proud of his marshmallow roasting skills!
Lower Mesa Falls - on the way home!
